Youre missing the point. A citybuilder purports to put you in the role of a mayor or Roman governor. A roman governor does NOT plant an olive orchard by pressing a button, and does not get to see the progress of all the carts carrying olive oil in his province. The actions you take are as fake as speaking simlish.

COD4, which you seem to think is some sort of realistic portrayal of an army tour, which is the dumbest thing I have seen in this forum.

No, its fake. Just as the Sims is. But just as you can "order pizza" in real life, as in the sims, you can go out and fight in real life.

    Grow up.

They are also impossible to do in reality.

Not in any way similar to how you play COD4. What the hell. Is your problem not understanding what COD4 is, or what a tour in the army is?

Again, grow up. It's not trolling to correct some old guy for claiming COD4 is like the real world army. It's pointing out the obvious.

        Did you fail logic?

Sims not like real domestic life. COD4 not like real world army.

Some fake actions in Sims can be done in real life. Some fake actions in COD4 can be done in real world army.

Use of "fake" is applicable to them both. Both are non-simulating simulations. Both are entertainments. You like one, but not the other. Playing COD4 not only isnt fighting a war, it isnt writing a real, unconstrained war novel either.

For some odd reason you think playing one rather than the other makes you more manly. Thats pathetic.

Eating fake snack foods. Fighting fake space aliens. Which makes more sense?

The latter, obviously, since you cannot do it in reality.

Earlier you claimed anyone can easily fight in a COD4 style war, which is clearly false. I'm glad you've rescinded that position.

Never said COD4 made me manly. I simply said playing the Sims makes me a middle aged housewife who likes dollhouses.

Funnily enough the "middle aged housewives" thing is entirely true.

And on forums for The Sims, if a man posts, they're like "Zomg a man!". It's one of those comical reversals from the usual "Zomg a girl!" found in gaming circles.

Of course I will still get to play Sims alongside POTM.

You still seem to confuse the poorly designed micromanagement with the point of the game.

I can get cans of soda from a machine in real life, just like in Half Life.

It may do that to you, Im sorry. Fortunately to some of us its just a way to have fun.
