On second thought the gameplay isn't so great. The random enemies running around seem able to take massive amounts of damage. Even more so than yourself who has a special suit with "armor". Guns also don't seem effective at more than 30ft.
Eschewing obfuscation and transcending conformity since 1982. Embrace the flux.

I'm having a similar experience. But from the incrysis boards I have read that you're supposed to play the game slowly and tactifully, not just run in like most games. I would prefer a maximum of 3 bullets to kill an enemy, right now it seems to be about 10, which makes things difficult because the AI is surprisngly good; and with the settings on High, it can get quite difficult to identify an enemy in the bush; a lot of detail and too much going on. I will play the game again tonight. I guess its just a a matter of practice.

This looks like another over-hyped piece of trash to me. It's graphics are pretty good, but the performance isn't. And the gameplay? What the hell, brutal.

If the performance weren't so horrible the gameplay would be more interesting. The suit gives you several really cool approaches to different battles - e.g. with the Strength focus you can jump up a lot of difficult terrain and flank the enemy. But I'm convinced in part that the performance is so bad to generate hype - "it's so awesome that even the best hardware can barely run it!"

So far I like the gameplay, but it does seem a bit on the easy side (not as easy as Bioshock though)

I like how the suit and the landscape gives you opportunity to beat each situation in different ways. So far I have finished the demo three times using three different tactics

Cloak seems to run out so fast as to be almost worthless.

You're just not using it right, cloak is IMHO the best

Cloaking takes power when you move, the faster you move, the more power it drains. If you're standing still it only drains slowly (making it possible to stand still for almost 2 minutes). When you need to move while cloaked, it's often better to crouch instead of walk, this way the power will last longer

Oh, I didn't realize running drained it faster. That's a lot more useful, then - I always sprinted when I had it because I thought it would disappear fast.

                        Thanks for the tips.

I toned down the graphics a bit to make it smoother, now I can kill them easier. If the framerate is too low, I guess my bullets will lag a bit.

Wow, turning down graphics gives a better framerate?

                          Who would have guessed?

btw Asher, just wondering if you tried the beta drivers for better performance?

Adagio, I didn't want to run it on Medium because the difference between Medium and High are so significant, it's almost like playing two different games. I need that realism factor in my graphics.

                                Yes, I'm using the 169.01s.

I tried in both Vista 32 and Vista 64. The 64 gave slightly better framerates (Crysis does have both 32-bit and 64-bit binaries, at least), but it's still not that great.

IMO BioShock looks just as good but runs a helluva lot better.
