To H-bomb with PC, I want my Colonization remake!
And AC on a CIV IV like engine would be fantastic.

The players didn't use their legs to send the ball away, instead they used their throwing arm
Oh, and the ball is not your usual ball, but made of steel instead
And the players where not robots, just well-protected humans
And during the game there aren't really any rules, so if you want to beat the crap out of a certain player, just do it. There was rarely a game where none of the players had to be taken out due to injuries
Now that sounds a bit more appealing than "soccer with robots."

Have you ever played a game for fun rather than competition, Zero?

vee- a new shadowrun game did come out in 2007, I thought?

Ah, LodeRunner, I'd be glad to see that updated again. The last version by Sierra, I think, only ran on Win 95. I could easily see someone making a free version of the platformer in Flash.

Anyone remember the excellent Commander Keen series by Apogee? Or Jill of the Jungle- two other pretty neat games.

I'd love to see a simplified version of Imperialism. The old games were a bit too complicated.

They should really update and remake Airplanes... the game was fatally flawed for replay value since it limited the amount of planes that could fly in/out of airports. If they could up the ante there, that would allow for great strategic replay value... and with today's processor power, I could see them easily being able to crunch all the numbers.

I would also like to see a new version of DETROIT, the car making game- it was awesome.
-
Or pizza tycoon. I almost bought Restaurant Empire, but it didn't promise to be as amusing as the original Ultimate food processery game!

One big problem you face with resurrecting old games is that most of the ones people have listed here can be found for free on some abandon site or some such.
So not only do you have to make an actual better game, but it has to be that much better, people are happy to pay for your new version over the 'free' ancient one.
I really loved this hard as nails game back in the amiga days, and the follow up Flashback.
It seems a PC remake has been made, I'll have to take a look some time
Ah? But how many people really would trust such sites, El_Cid?
and some games aren't compatible with newer computers, even with DosBox and other inventions... and to use said things you need to be a bit technically competent- most people aren't.

Hmm... Perhaps I just wasn;'t in the right mood to play them- I had a great deal of trouble with their economic models If I recall. I couldn't get anywhere in the game.
