Has anyone tried Out of the Park Baseball?

Not that I like to watch the sport itself, but I like some baseball games, and it's based on Football Manager (like EHM) so it can't be bad.

They still make games for pc, but they rarely see english release because there isn't a big enough audience. I guess they didn't sell very well

I've enjoyed Introversion's games so far, none are of an epic scale but they have a great style about them - fun too:

Introversion Software is one of the UK's most-respected and successful independent game developers and publishers. Founded in 2001 by three university students, we have gone on to create five critically acclaimed video games including cult classics Prison Architect, Uplink, DEFCON, Darwinia and Multiwinia.

King of Dragon Pass is a unique fantasy rpg/strat game and is very re-playable:

King of Dragon Pass is the saga of colonizing a magical land.

I really enjoyed RTK2 on SNES and Torneko: The Last Hope on PS1(one of the few roguelikes I played a lot).

                        Startopia.

A fun "sims" style game played on a space station - it COULD be described as "Sim Space Station" except it's absolutely no relation to other Sim games, it has completely unique concepts and is actually not crap - it has some excellent polish in places.

A picture tells a thousand words, so have a bunch of screenies from one of my games:

(I built that. It's not part of "terrain which comes with the space station" or something, it's amazing what you can build)

Definitely worth playing this game if you can find it and find Sims/Settlers etc games remotely interesting. It "feels" a lot more vibrant than many other Sims style games I've played.

I wouldn't really call Thief a mainstream game, so that gets my vote.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

I actually was going to mention Startopia myself. I wanted to get it when it first came out, but never did. However...

It was just made available on Gametap. Absolutely love it. If I didn't have boards coming up next week, I'd be playing it nonstop.

I quite liked Startopia - and I wouldn't call it a Sims style game. There was a clue in your point that it's "actually not crap".
