Indeed.
Do you think he knows anything about the first games he posted?
And Metroid 3 got lower scores from non fanboy reviewers. Don't get me started on Matt C -- guy has been shilling blatantly for the Big N since 1996. And he's proud of it.
He threw a huge tantrum years ago when Metroid Prime didn't win GOTY or something."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

I am sorry, I must have missed something. Those are games and you play them and they scored at 9.0+. Maybe just deal with it...the console is a veritable fun machine and these games are not too expensive either.
This Matt C character may be a tool, but this doesn't lie:
Metacritic aggregates music, game, tv, and movie reviews from the leading critics. Only Metacritic.com uses METASCORES, which let you know at a glance how each item was reviewed.
Definitely looks like a Halo killer from there.

Here I can only get one for £55. I can get a good wireless/modem router for that price - it's ridiculous. And all the 3rd party ones suck (I guess MS didn't let anyone competent make one).
So I have to choose between having messy wires and let MS shaft me for £55 for a WIRELESS ADAPTOR.

Even most people who play it will express disappointment. I'm surprised you defend it, it's far more of a carbon copy of MP1/2 than Halo 3 is of 1/2. They didn't even try multiplayer this time."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Man this thread is an ass kicking.
The Xbox 360 has doubled Wii's hardware sales in the last couple weeks. The Wii is still behind the 360 in regions that matter. And, of course if you read the thread, this is about software sales and not hardware.

If you wish to discuss the sales of girl panties and Wiis in Japan, that's fine, but don't do it in a Wii software thread.
FWIW, I think the "supply constrained" argument loses its validity a year after the console was launched. That's ineptitude and rather proves the case that the Wii's supply is being intentionally kept low to sensationalize it. The fact that the marketing droid for Nintendo emphasizes they won't have enough for the holiday season also plays into this argument -- like they want people to rush out and buy it as soon as stores get it...or they wont at all. Funny PR strategy, but a bit stupid."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

i think the original OP is pretty well answered.
1. there isnt a Wii Halo killer. Halo3 is a perfect game for the 360 market, that wants an FPS with top graphics for MP. Sony may hope for a Halo killer, but I doubt anyone at Nintendo does.
2. Nintendo will continue to have some FPS, cause they have a franchise like Metroid, and cause some developers want to reach that big install base.
3. Nintendo DID reach out to a new audience. That audience is NOT likely to buy as many games as the 360 audience, so most Nintendo games WONT sell as well as 360 games.
4. The core Nintendo loyalist audience will buy a lot of games, but mainly Nintendo 1st party titles, and there arent THAT many of that loyalist audience.
5. No one expected the Wii to sell like it has, and given that theres a lag in development time ESPECIALLY for non-shovelware titles, it will be some time before we see the real impact of the Wii install base on what developers bring to the Wii."A person cannot approach the divine by reaching beyond the human. To become human, is what this individual person, has been created for.” Martin Buber

You missed the entire point.
It's not about FPS games in particular. It's games selling well on the Wii, period."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

No it doesn't, it just proves the case that whoever is in charge of manufacturing for Nintendo is completely incompetent.

I think the blame goes far higher than the person "in charge of manufacturing". This is a deliberate attempt to NOT resolve "shortages".
They simply haven't done anything to address it in a year. That's a high-level decision. The Wii is a ridiculously simple, cheap console to produce. There's nothing complex in it or anything rare in it. There's no component shortages, the only thing is they choose not to recruit more manufacturers as MS did when they had shortages (they brought up two new contract manufacturers)."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
