Question for fans of classic RPGs...

...I just logged onto Gametap for the first time since the last Sam & Max episode came out, and I noticed that a few "classic" games are now included in the service, games I've often heard about and considered playing, but never did.

The Baldur's Gate series or Planescape: Torment; which should I tackle first?

Baldur's Gate. Planescape: Torment should be played after that... you'll appreciate it a bit more (less fighting, more reading & story in Torment). Not saying that Baldur's Gate II wasn't better than Planescape: Torment (it was), but Torment's story is better.

Same answer, different reasoning.

Unless they've upgraded it, Planescape is in 640*480, which is hard to play through given all the reading. BG is too, but you can increase it to 800*600 by using a mod called BG tutu.

He doesnt just play alot of games. He actually has decent understanding of the strategy and metagame for most of the games he play too. :-)

I still have to play BG2. I never played BG1 either. I actually started up BG2 once but was so bored with it in the first hour or so that I never went back. Planetscape: Torment really grabbed me right away with it's unique world.
