Forza 2

Just started playing this with the official steering wheel and it kicks ass. It seems to have a large online community because there are a lot of ways to compete through time trials and the like, and I know it's a good sim as my fingers and shoulders ache like crap, just like they would if you spent most of the day driving a real high performance car.

Anyone else playing?

NASCAR is teh suck. Forza is usually considered the best racing game out, though I have Dirt as well (I think I recommended to you before) and that's fun.

I'm game. I challenged Agathon back when he posted a thread on Forza 2, bragging about his car (the 1961 Jaguar you unlock in the opening races of the game). He did not accept.

What's your best time on the Boomslang time trial? (the only one I've played properly yet)

I managed 30.7xx earlier which puts me at 800 or so. I'm still getting used to the wheel though so think I can do better - it's more than a second away from the leader.

My Xbox 360 is in the shop for the 6th time. I said this in the Bioshock thread. Plus, I'm at work.

After 5 replacements they are now willing to admit that it was likely a bad powersupply that was frying my Xboxes. They don't like to be told what the problem is, so they ignored me til the 6th time.

Never mind - I checked the online scoreboards (they are great!) and you are around 103,000 to my 830 or so. Overall I am 162,000 to your 31,000.

But I've only set 2 times so I will catch up fast.

Are those rankings?

A lot of my timings are slow, I'm sure...I try to spend the least amount of money possible in career mode so I can buy more cars. This means they're not the fastest car.

Yes they are time trial rankings. Time trials are the ones where you race a specific track with a specific car so your own cars are irrelevant.

Crumbs the 'Poly challenge hasn't even started and already the excuses are starting to fly! And not very good ones at that.
