I had intended to have the clues more spread out (as opposed to the same thing over and over), but the early death of Adaigo caught me off-guard.

Seriously, you would have to not be reading the clues to not pick up on the roses/flowers references, and I asked my girlfriend where the rose bowl was played (hoping it was Texas). I asked her today if I had asked about roses and England if she would have known any connection and she said "you mean like the War ofthe Roses?". So I guess I just asked the wrong questions. If I had asked her when I first read the clues (before Spaced voted) I probably could have posted my guess and Spaced could have backed me up and we would have won the game.
