Unfortunately I've forgotten everything about it, so it's re-learn from scratch time.

Waddya mean the cities don't grow on their own?

No, it just found the rules inconsistent and imbalanced.

I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Enjoying it, but it's alpha and quite often ends in an infinite loop, which means game over (or at least reload).

They do in original colonization, it just takes a long(long) time.

Yes, they do get there in the end, with 200 food, I think - though a docks and a couple of fish tiles makes a lot of food.

I sometimes get a "It's not your turn" message flash up, followed by something like "Spanish BEF are moving" forever.

Yea, for me it's usually the Dutch moving forever...

I've had some fun with this one.

And as far as open source clones of good strategy games go, I also recommend OpenTTD, a Transport Tycoon clone.

I've found that choosing "Reconnect" off the Game menu fixes the move forever loop.

Can anybody tell me if you can ever get to work a two-tile radius around a colony, or is it the adjacent tiles only all game?
