You'll need a couple of these, one of these, and I'd recommend one of these and (n-1) of these, where n is the number of controllers you'll have.

Don't buy them from the linked store, though, you can get them cheaper elsewhere.

I've found that emulators with their speed buttons have really killed my console attention span on the crgps like ff and dw/q. I can't stand the time to level now without holding r2 on my pad. Its just unnatural to burn through a ff game in couple sittings...yet I do it anyway, esp since the old ones have remade for the gba....

This is particularly problematic for Zelda, but for some games it doesn't really matter (Mario 64, Episode 1 Racer to name a couple).
        Any experience with this:

I can half-hazard an N64 controller with a joystick, but the original controller is awesome.

Spike, that's what I have. The best by far (well, dunno about the xbox one, but this should be cheaper if you don't have an xbox360 already).

Can someone confirm that the Logitech pad doesn't suffer from the problems Kuci referred to above (which I confess I didn't quite follow).

I've never had Kuci's problem. But it may be emulator-specific? I can map my logitech's buttons to whatever...
