But you're right, when looking at each game separately, then Dune 2 is much more important than the other Dune games

I spent more time with Dune 2 than with all C&C games combined

I think as a general concept 70/80´s MUD (i have no idea which MUD was there first) should have been put on the list. In those days that was as close as you could get to online RPG´s.
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

        Spacewar!
and it was played on a PDP-1

            Star Raiders

But I'm sorry, Incunabula totally pwns the Civ series. 7 years earlier and incorporating some concepts that didn't make it into Civ.

hmm, interesting about the pdp, though it doesn't list all who bought one. What was the price of one? Did businesses buy it? universities?

spacewar is kind of impressive in the phsyics they incorporated into the game. Though missiles were not affected by the sun's gravity. But it is interesting the missiles were affected by the ship's velocity.

They had so many orders that they could not even fill them all.

We're sorry, the voices in my head are not available at this time. Please try back again soon.

                  1. Spacewar (1962)
                  2. Star Raiders (1979)
                  3. Zork (1980)
                  4. Tetris (1985)
                  5. Sim City (1989)
                  6. Super Mario Bros III (1990)
                  7. Civilization I och II (1991, 1996)
                  8. Doom (1993)
                  9. Warcraft (1994)
                  10. Sensible World of Soccer (1994)

Found the list at a swedish business site...

A bit strange that Super Mario Bros III is included (and not the first game in the series), no?

                  Edit: I added 1996 for Civ 2...

I found Tetris at Babbages back in 1986, for Nintendo

                  Love it

I really got hooked on Tetrisphere for N64, multilayers and could do all these layers and such

Yeah I saw the $120K figure on a few wiki links from the other page. That's one hell of a pricey game, especially in real terms.
