There are large Furry and other sex related groups in Second Life.

I would expect that that type would find it as a 'better' home.

Same here. As long as Call to Power 2 works on my PC im still going to want play at least once a month.
I think many of the deep strategy games like EU2 ,HoI2,Civ4,Galciv2,Supreme Ruler2010 and of course CtP 1&2 are played by a broad age group.Never too old for these games.

          Transport Tycoon 2 Deluxe FTW...

I think I'll be playing computer games until I die. I'll have the periods when I jsut don;t play for months while I keep my life on track, and I'll have the times when I play for 18 hours a day.

Lifes a balance. If I find something better to do, and i really do hope so, then gaming time will decrease, but so long as I'm doing something I want to do, I don;t care.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

Now there's an interesting angle I must confess I never considered before.

I might suggest though that your friend might be better off not putting this to the test as there is the smallest possibility that the Swedish dept of Justice might interpret pulling a plug and arson slightly differently?

In the region of 'Second Life' type stuff, i found this on the bbc tech page:

BBC, News, BBC News, news online, world, uk, international, foreign, british, online, service

Ref: Perplex City one of those alternate reality games. I had heard about this a few years back, and someone finaly one the prize. I wonder how much they spent on doing so?

And maybe if people ever feel too old for computer gaming, then this could be an interesting option?

Everything we do will eventually be dust.

                    ...

                    WHY NOT HAVE FUN?
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

or run for president/prime minister/king and make the world a better place?

There is plenty of real life stuff that we can do to make a difference in our small way - to go alongside the computer gaming of course!

True that as well, I thought he might counter with the sun running out of fuel or something.

The point being is that video games are a decent waste of time, but not worth living for.

Why not become spiritual and have fun?

Actually, I consider the ultimate triumph of entropy in the heat death of the universe to be a great proof of the pointlessness of existance.

Well considering I am already 61, I guess the answer is yes I will be playing at 50. Actually that is about when I started playing.
