I don't play as much as i used to, but since i got my new pc this month i do try out the (modern) classics I never could play on my old PC. Had a blast with HL2 and some of the fanmade scenarios. Though i'm getting my ass handed to me in MP Deathmatch. Didn't even realize you could crouch-jump over obstacles until then.

And i finally got around to playing Beyond good and evil, a fun action adventure although far too easy. Almost ridicously easy, completed it within 10 hours. The only trouble i had at the start was winning the races/looter chase. Once i figured out how to assign the mouse keys to the keyboard that became a breeze as well. Has gotten me in the mood to try out the new Sam 'n Max.
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.

The Weighted Companion Cube is cheating on you, that slut.

Maybe you're just getting sick of all the (eye)candy that defines current gaming? I know it took me about 5 years to realise that all this emphasis on graphics that IS contempory gaming has come at a cost in terms of how much i can invest in a game.

Too much candy can make you sick, and it rots your teeth - i get that feeling alot with most games these days.

Still it is possible to find many great gaming gems IF you are prepared to accept that good gaming isn't really about the candy. Then a whole world of great games opens up before you

I'm definitely too old to get excited about waving my wii wii around to play a game.

I've already stoped playing computer games for the most part. They're a black hole of time and creativity as far as I'm concerned.

                            Games can foster creativity though.

I don't play as much as I used to...

I still want to be dragged in and I have so many great games waiting for me to explore...

The risk of addiction + I'm currently reaping years of ergonomic abuse at work and home (pain in my arms and shoulders, recently triggered by an intense interest in MOO2) that there is not much gaming in the near future for me...

I don't know which is more pathetic... Not being able to game or feeling sorry for myself for not being able to game... I guess the common denominator is... NERD!

I don't think they do, really. They foster creativity within the confines of the game, but expending creativity into a virtual world that is going to be deleted is what I call a blackhole. Why spend my time building a virtual empire, or constructing something within the gameworld, when I could be creating something that is actually tangible and real?
