By the way, definitely Oblivion == RoN. Both suck donkey balls.

To be honest, since I realized that RoN is going to be Age of Empires in a Civ ambiente, my interest in this game dropped to zero and, considering the burstling place Apolytons RoN forum is, nearly everyone else's too. Finally even BHG seems to have realized this, better late than never. But the damage is done and hurts. R.I.P. BR's image as "teh game designing genius".
So I can't comment on sales numbers, because I frankly don't give a rats.It just amused me slightly, that you in one thread dismissed my sales numbers troll and brought in another thread a similar one.

RoN/RoL forums are active elsewhere. We're not in the top 10 of sites that people looking for info on those games would find, hence the lack of activity.
I'd be interested to see what BHG come up with next. I maintain that RoN is the best RTS game out there, and it actually managed to do some innovation instead of being an AoE clone.
Looks like Brian Reynolds just wants to try doing different things. He's had lots of success with TBS (Civ2, SMAC), now succeeded at TBS (community & critic reception for RoN has been great), so why not try designing a RPG? As long as they stick to the PC as their platform, I'll quite likely be interested in BHG's next game.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

I guess YMMV. I found Oblivion to be a beautiful, poorly-executed game.Let us be lazy in everything, except in loving and drinking, except in being lazy – Lessing

What about a Rise of Nations 2.Something along the lines of the real time games put out by Pardox. The real sense of history found in Europa Universalis 2,along with the deep tactics in Hearts of Iron. Some detail will have to be cut down to play civilization. But what a game that would make.It would appeal to a wide range of gamers.

I dunno. I found CoH kinda boring before my comp decided not to play it anymore. Dawn of War on the other hand was and is awesome.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

Relic kicks ass, yeah. Homeworld is definitely one of the best RTS games, but the innovation was in a completely different direction than RoN's. And RoN was still more innovative, IMO.
Company of Heroes plays almost like a squad-level tactical game instead of a RTS. Very solid, however.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator
