I know what you mean about that groundhog day thing! I just grit my teeth and pushed on

Vivec was always my least favourite place in MW too - nice to look at(oh that architecture isn't bad) in 'this is the big city' kinda way, but awful to travel around. In Telesphoros list of mods look for "Vivec replacement 1.02" and/or ''Vivic expansion 2.0" - i have not tried them but they do change Vivec.

As for selling stuff - i dont think you ever will find a place to sell full value(although they might have been a mod that 'fixes' that?) - Mud crab is my usual stop if i want to get a bit more than creeper offers. To find mud crab head east by east-south out of Vivec and it will be on one of the small Islands near a Daedre ruin. Just don't go killing any mud crabs when exploring that area - i made that mistake once.

There are a couple of mods that address the economics in Morrowind - most are listed on Teles' list. I think i just settled with Indybank, Wakims game Improvements and some of Taddeus balanced mods. I tend not to worry about cash in MW, you will always end up with more than you can use!

I agree with Quillan - save the 40K soul gems to enchant at a later date when you're skills are decent.

Hotkeys - not sure, i never use them but if they should work it sounds like a mod may be responsible?

As for overall issues with Morrowind - well i think it's very specific to each player and what they want out of the game. Sure fed-ex quests can be dull, but it is the main mechanic used in the game so i think you're stuck with that? I didn't get the Morrowind experience 'i' wanted untill i worked out that large list i posted above!

And i'm sure it's not everyones cup of tea(you need to use wyre mesh+you need all the expansions), but i was aiming for adding lots of content(quests,stuff/items+landmass) while making the game a bit harder by giving me more to do(needing to eat/drink/sleep etc), and improve the graphics+sound.

For me that list does all that - but it still IS the same old Morrowind beneath all the additions(albeit better balanced+less generic).

I did look at the eating, sleeping mods but I didn;t add them as I hadn't played the game enough to assess the impact. Now I've reached level 20 I've got a much better idea of the game.

As you say money isn;t an issue in itself more sort of cash flow. I still find it frustrating though that I find a mace valued at 80K but can't do much with it.

Got a better idea of which mods I need to go an look for now though.

I'll look at the Vivec ones as at the moment i'm just avoiding the place.

Something for inventory management. It would be nice to be able to sort in various ways especially weight. I keep picking up objects that weigh much more than I expect but you have to then cursor over everything. It would also be good if the game didn't remove pieces of armour when you cycle through magic items. I keep fins myself wearing slippers of light rather than the dark brotherhood boots. It also swaps magic items around so I keep loosing my constant effect items.

Rats and cliff racers. Ok then were fun for a while but now its just annoying and they keep making me ill.

Dark Brotherhood. The armour is pretty good but it feels a bit unbalanced to get it so early in the game. Even if you don't use light armour it gives you a nice little earner at the start when money is short. I basically lept from no armour to some of the best light armour (so far).

Compass - well i keep getting lost.

Haven't decided about additional dungeons yet. A lot of the centre of the island is a bit barren but a) it's meant to be and b) I think clearing yet another smugglers hideout would be dull.

I think my next restart i'll add the 'realism' mods and add enchant as a major skill.

Well, the Dark Brotherhood stuff is part of Tribunal, and that didn't come out until long after the original game. Anyone who was playing early wouldn't have the armor until later in the game, when they added the expansion, and would only have it early on a new character. I agree, though. It's great light armor. A new character with it will probably keep it until they start getting glass armor.
Age and treachery will defeat youth and skill every time.
