  • WoW's new honor system (and a prelude to TBC)

What are the thoughts on the latest patch that implemented the new honor system?

No decaying honor, no need to pvp to death to gain rank or rewards. However, there was a post patch nerf that reduced honor gained. After the dev's decided too much honor was being gained.

I personally think it is a step in the right direction, but it still takes alot to get the rewards and the reduction was a bit harsh.

Has anyone who quit started playing again? Or will TBC bring you back? OR have you had enough of the whole damn thing?
While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.

Well I think Blizz made a string of uncharacteristic mistakes around the PvP model in WoW, which they have now rectified (on paper, I'm not playing beta). However this is at the cost of justifiable annoyance on the part of those who have been playing PvP under the old model, whose efforts are largely wasted now.

True, I see how those who got to the top before the change was announced could be pissed. However, those who tried to race the clock after the change was announced get no sympathy from me.

Also, it still isn't that quick. Much, much better, but only the hardest of the hard will get a full epic pvp set and weapon in a few weeks. I've been pvp'ing for the past few weeks when it came out and I can just now afford the epic shoulders, boots or gloves. Then my points will reset and the grind begins again for a few weeks for some other piece.

Sure, I never, ever would have seen them before, but the old way was just so ridiculous I don't see how they could have cotinued to push such a bad system.
