I am taken by adagio's observation re

but I am not convinced by his further reasoning.

The ' the Priests Chamber' could refer to a secret hidden place' in around Elizabethan England, or it could refer to someone or something in Balders's Gate.

So I don't think Rah necessarily is the mafia, otoh, you can find the letters rah inside the word Chamber.

The Village was obviously very upset about the passing of their priest, but the local Mufti was excited as now everyone came to him for their spiritual guidance.

To find out the guilty one the village prayed for a sign to reveal the deadly one. All they saw was the sun rise and a cat cross the street,

"Aha " they all yelled , " The sun is ancient Egyptian god, Cats were too, so Rah must be guilty"

Depsite the obvious mistakes in the spelling of Rahs name they were all determined to end it .

And so Rah was taken to the top of the Village Hill and covered in Tar and feathers and then rolled down the hill till he ended up in the lake and drowned.

Meanwhile the Devils in town rejoiced and entered again into a villager. This time they stalked the wealthy landlord in his mansion. When Adagio returned from his Poker game the demon possessed villager jumped from behind him and slashed Adagios wrists.

Again the devils waned to play with the villagers minds, and so left so left some clues.

When Heresson arrived next day to see his campaign supporter for more funds, he found Adagios body hidden behind some bushes with just his legs sticking out. The evil killer had covered the legs in flour and bread crumbs. Hmmm thought Heresson , who is the towns chef, time to string him up!
