I bought the Sims plus the first three expansion packs. It was one expansion pack too many, I feel. The first two I got my money's worth, however.

!! surely not? in-game advertiseing is going to be the saviour of next-gen titles? I mean we probably cant wait to be making MacDonalds chains in the next 3D SimCity? Or feeling soothed by the familiar bill-board adverts we see in our everyday lives - it will make the games seem more real?



But seriously in-game adverts will become a part of future gaming - luckily the games i like to play(historic/tbs/strat) will have a hard time incorperating them without losing all credibility. "Oh look that knights tunic is advertsing coke!?"

I bought both the Sims and the Sims2. While I didn't get as many hours out of them as I'd hoped, I don't regret the purchas. Unlike games such as Black and White, Star Wars rebellion etc.

people only hate the Sims because it's popular. Us gaming elitists would never admit to liking such a "girlie" game. Come on, face it. The sims is a decent game. Okay maybe it's not for everyone.

But I do think people only bash it because it's popular. Like bashing microsoft, mcdonald's, etc.
