PS2 Madden 2005 vs PS2 Madden 2007

I am playing Madden 2005 and enjoy it

Has anyone heard much of the Madden 2007 I believe that gets released this Tuesday?

I can live with 2005, unless 2007 is some major leap in terms of maybe game styles?

I heard XBox 360 was decent but Im speaking of the PS2

Eh, it's probably all the same ... just new players and such ... 2006 was decent, but not much of an improvement over 2005 frankly, just 'offensive' big hits ...

I "Acquired" a copy today (and no not Warez, perfectly legal) (The Hall of Fame version for PS2)

Im fixing to play it.

I like you can build your own team from scratch, plus have a Fan, adorned with all the great goofy things from the big foam finger to whatever

I love the Madden Cards, IIRC, like 100 rushing gets you points, throw 100 yards (Each time) get points

Ya know, I thought about it and since no one will probably catch on, it gets "released" tommorrow and I got it today, FYI as well as everyone elses, thats why I put "acquired" and then the explanation afterward,

Snoopy, the Madden cards are, from what i remember kind of like in AOEIII where you get Cards but in Madden they are earned for , IIRC, like a person rushes for 100 total yards might earn them 4 points or as other examples above.

Then you get to unlock teams from Classic Mode, IIRC, that what its called.

I will let you know, but it seems like Madden Cards help you players perform better, but that might not be the case.

I Played some practice, I enjoyed the Two-Minute Drill where you just do that, play and score as many points as you can in 2 mins., starting on your 20 and having to march down the field

I am kinda not so much liking the kicking style, you have to use the Joystick and it has a pretty touchy way to keep a kick good, but time will help.

I love the "Juke" move where you quickly go left-right on right stick and it really helps, plus the dive allows you to jump over instead of just diving forward

One feature is really awesome, you pick Lead Blocker and you pick the lead blocker and use him to block and whenever your ready just touch the circle button and take over the runner

Are you really locked into your guy, or are you generally playing the team, with your guy on it?

Hadnt gotten that far, right now doing some practicing and getting used to controls.

I picked up Madden 07 for my xbox360.

So far, I love it, but Pro is way too easy. Bump it up to All-Pro when I get home.

I am, between playing my CIV Turns at night, designing some plays and setting my Franchise up.

I'm loving superstar mode, but i wish i could change camera angle to some kind of broadcast view when I'm on the bench.

I am just whetting my whistle so to speak on this game, but isnt there a coaches mode where you dont play the game but coach the game?

I am not sure if possible, but I would enjoy playing a series like start coaching and be able to go consecutive years and see how you do over the course of 3,5 and 10 years.


It was possible back with I believe SuperTecmo Bowl on Nintendo

I am mostly sure that you can do this. If you don't touch your controls after you hike the ball, the AI does mostly everything for you anyways. So theoretically, you could play the game only by coaching and kicking.
