No they aren't. Bulkheads are walls.

I think he meant the figurehead on the prow. Still - it's not a very exciting part.
I also junked that idea last night, in favour of a 19th century comedy of mores/bodice ripper, but didn't feel that anyone would bother to read the whole lot before voting, and that most of my Austen/Eliot/Braddon et al parodies would go unnoticed for the most part, and unappreciated for the rest.

I miss the idyllic village stories from the very beginning, with Skanky as barkeeper, me as fisherman and so on. Perhaps I'm just nostalgic, but I think we missed something between the early time and now.

...erk. I detested those early stories. That's part of the reason I didn't join any mafia games till jamski started GMing... I like the mindgame aspect of them.

Mafia never really caught my interest until the clues (and red herrings of course) were introduced.

Us part time GMers can only ever hope to live in the shadow of the great ones, many of the earl ygames were terrific, it has evolved slowly and changed to meet demands, anyone remember the RIVAL Assassins Game that ran for awhile at the height of Mafia Popularity.

Assassins wasn't a rival game, it was the overflow for people who missed the Mafia sign-up. If we ever get back to the days of 30+ people signing up to play again, I suspect Assassins will be reborn. Until then there's no need for it.

I don't think Ras was suggesting we start up Assassins again, just asking who remembers it (though I don't think it was that long ago).

Like joncha, I don't think we will ever get back to anywhere close to that many players for Mafia/Assassins (nor do I think Society, Gladiator, or other Great Forum Games will be back).

I think Nascar and Nuclear War will soon join them, and I suspect that GO will not long outlast them.

He was suggesting that Assassins was a RIVAL game. I was merely attempting to correct that misapprehension.

yes rival was a bad choice of words but everyone gets my meaning. when we had so many players we needed two games

I'm beginning to wonder if not Mafia itself will soon join the rank of the dead... There has been a distinct decline lately.

All the forum games have been on the decline. My guess is that is has far more to do with Civ4 being out and fresh than anything else.

I have noticed that most of the regulars that are still playing have stopped joining every game, tending instead only to play their one or two favourites. I haven't checked the numbers, but I think we still have enough active players across all the games for 20+ people in a game, it's just that we seem to be down to a dozen or less for any one game.
