  • Mafia - The Forum Game Talk Thread

I'm interested in knowing what forum games stories you liked best

My favorite is the Simpsons epidode

I don't like the stories where there's way too much to read, but on the other hand I don't like those where there's no story at all

So what story is your favorite?
This space is empty... or is it?

Jamski's Dracula by a million zillion miles. It was what, number 13 or something, and is still the finest to date.

Some of Ljube's were quite well done also.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

And Raz's have been good also considering the falling participation during the summer months.

I went back to read "Corporate Mafia" after it being suggested by someone a while back, it is the favourite of the ones I have read (done by Jamski or Ljube? I don't remember).

Of the ones I have been involved in? Not sure, there were a number I enjoyed, the theme onesd I enjoyed most I think.

Hey, I told you before I strated that I can't write a story worth a damn.

I don't think anyone is criticizing you here Tuber, it has been proven that the no story version with a regular moving game is better then a full story slow paced game on numerous occassions.

to you for volunteering to GM and for keepign the game moving.

The only :d: I can think of is that you allowed me to die

Don't worry, this thread is not an attack on your "story", I have thought about starting this thread for a while, it was completely random that this thread started the same time you're gm'ing

I do prefer a non-story mafia game that is updated regulary, to a mafia game with a huge story, but only updated each 3-4 days

I preferred the Roman one to the Dracula one, myself.

The Dracula one was great. Many of the stories by others have been better than my minimal efforts, too.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Yeah, but you're an idiot. Fortunately, an idiot who can parody godawful 19th century novels with aplomb for the entertainment of all.

Ljube's French Revolution one and duke o'york's Murder on the Nile both had compelling stories and, I think, were amazingly well done!

When I can be bothered, then I am tempted to bring the marvels of Melville to bear on this Mafia game. I mean, a whaling ship and so many colourful characters should give a pretty good story (although I may have to think about where to fit Leirosa into the ship....).

Still waiting for someone to do an Airplane! version too - that would be hilarious.
