  • Sam & Max: Freelance Police

Good news for fans of this once dead LucasArts title, they are back and this time it will be in instalments, rather than one standalone title.
I don't know if this is a good or a bad thing, but it's good to see this creative and inventive title back.

    info at these links:

http://www.telltalegames.com/samandmax - the developer where you can get the game.

http://www.samandmax.net/?section=freelancepolice - more info on the game.

They will be using a site called GameTap to deliver the game, which requires a subscription, or you can get it directly from the developers(sounds like the better option imho).

Good news for the rather stale fps next-gen dominated games scene

I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

I haven't played the other Sam and Max games, but this sounds interesting
This space is empty... or is it?

I'm suspicious, and a good outcome for this game will be not destroying the memory of one of the true classics.

        However, part of me hopes.....................

Didn't LucasArts dump their Sam&Max project a couple of years ago? I will not believe this one will come through until I actually see it on the shelves
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
          Once again...

They ran a classic line for ages. I didn't notice them discontinue it actually, though they must have if people were paying £100 on ebay.

I have both games already, of course. I got Sam and Max when I bought my PC. It was used, about £6. I bought DotT on one of the classic labels for about £12.
