So is a big part of this game happening to be online at the moment the update occurrs? Actually, you could have guessed "F" and been safe (ie, you'd win if it's flock, and you'd not 'lose' as it's just a letter guess if it's wrong).<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

Guessing "F" instead of "FLOCK" is always the superior choice. In this case it is admittedly identical, as you'd never get another chance to guess anyway, but if you guess F this round, then some idiot guesses Z or something, then next round you can guess BLOCK legitimately [the no-2-updates-in-a-row rule does not apply to word guesses] so thus you'd be better off that way
