  • Urban Dead

an interesting zombies vs humans(harmanz as the case may be) online browser game with about 45k active players on right now.

Urban Dead is a free grid-based browser zombie MMORPG game where 30,000 zombies and survivors fight for control of a ruined city.

on further search self biased posted this, but not what the game was or any of that.

it's mediocre. you've got to know people who already play to really get things going at this point. i'll post about mythicwars at the end of the age. there's only ten more days left.
I wasn't born with enough middle fingers.

being a feral zombie is pretty good now, Theres this thing called the big bash, they're rampaging through the city. Many fresh BRAAAIINNSSSS... to be had(and the human population is starting to drop off with all the deaths )

my survivor though is doing quite poorly.

When I played... and I played for a while, the human population outnumbered zombies 100 to 1. No real point to play...

ok this thread seems along the line of something my friend was really vaguely trying to describe to me so i'll see if you guys know what he was talking about or can give any suggestions as to similar games.

Usual trade (as in workin increased income between allies rather then donate type aid), attack, build up city, research etc. He can't remember if it was in a browser or if it was a downloaded client duh. He was saying you could setup your own little "server" where only friends could get in which makes me believe he's fantasizing most of this since i've never heard of a game like that, well maybe a downloadable PBEM one but not an online "real time" one as they generally are open to all and have the alliances of several hundred players bashing everyone else. The game was medieval fantasy based, humans, orcs etc.
We were mainly talking about it because with me just starting cybernations recently a few of my friends who aren't strategy players quite like its simplicity to play. Therefore it would be good to get alot of mates onto the same game to play, having some fun with diplomacy without them becoming stressed at having to consult a 200page manual each turn. Downside with cybernations is it's 7 months into it and obviously with NS meant to be played over years rather then something we could do in 2months.

Anybody brainstorm up some names ? (if its a suggestion preferably no referral / donation / link whore game)

Nah i've got dominions 2 myself
Theres no real economic management or diplomacy in it and he doesn't have it otherwise when we were digging through any old games we had or knew online to play something new would have probably tried it.
