As it happens, Ljube and Spaced Cowboy decided to see what Skanky Burns was up to. They would have to wait a little while to find out, though. Most of his ships were elsewhere.

Ljube's 20 Laser Battleships and 15 Laser Frigates; and Spaced Cowboy's 18 Laser Cruisers, 6 Fighter Cruisers, and 1 Torpedo Cruiser face Skanky Burns's lone Laser Battleship.

I don't like his absence.
I don't like the fact Jaguar stayed home either.

[Ljube]

Hmm, I may lose a frigate here, but I may also lose my 3 home bases.

Let's start with the frigate and deal with what happens later when we get to it.



The next round Ljube and Spaced maneuver their lasers for a 222 hit.

Ljube loses 1 Laser Frigate but gains 1 base.

Spaced Cowboy gains 2 bases.

OK, apart from that frigate we pwn him. Now on to Skanky's target please.

Skanky Burns was already at the bases of Spaced Cowboy. Let's see if Spaced can pull off the same defensive trick before losing his bases.

Skanky Burn's 24 Laser Battleships face Spaced Cowboy's 3 Laser Cruisers.

I bet he can, but it's no consolation.

As it happens, Spaced does an even better job.



Of course, the double-close in means a 576 hit in round 2.

Skanky Burns loses 2 Laser Battleships but gains 2 bases.

Trust in teh Sava



Jaguar decided on what others might think of as a crazed gamble. He had faith in JEBUS, and called on St. Sava to build two new bases.
