PC Games (Germany) says 2nd quarter 2006. Which would mean it's released within 8 weeks. But then, when have estimates in game magazines ever been precise? By the way, according to that article, the sequel is astoundingly close to the original. Urquhart said in an interview, he wouldn't fix what isn't broken (and right he is). So it won't be hard to give up the 1st, Duke.

Skill balance or spell balance?

To my knowledge, there are no overpowered skills (but there are utterly useless ones). There are, however quite a bunch of overpowered spells (like Harm, IGMS, and all these fancy high level necromancy spells) and feats (HIPS for an example). Would be nice if they'd get a slight nerf, and/or the others a slight raise. It'll be enough for a start to lower their DC a bit.
