and yes, there is some useful info on the more specific forums like professions and classes, but the general and realms are gold.

The most fun lately has been the posts about C'Thun and Ouro in AQ40, from the really hardcore guilds that have got there. They are bugged you see, possibly in an attempt to slow down progression until more content is closer to release, but Blizzard of course insist it's working as intended, which infuriates though who (with good reason) believe it is not.
One particularly hilarious post was filled with obscenity and generally unpleasant remarks about the Blizzard devs. In the last paragraph it revealed (with links to old forum archives) that it was all based on an old EQ rant by a top player, who is now, in a beautiful irony, a Blizzard dev.

I saw part of that discussion. It got funny after c'thun got fixed apparently and the raiders were being called crybabies (something they often call anyone who doesn't raid, yet wants the best gear).
Although they did have a legit complaint if c'thun was impossible to beat.
The thing that is really getting on my nerves is how almost everyone uses the "forward slash" before making a one word comment. (The in game shortcut for emotes).
ex. /cries, /salutes, etc..... as if they are in the game.
Probably nothing, but man. While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.

I also admit to enjoying the sheer stupidity that WoW and Forums attracts.
Then again Apolyton is nice too, being able to discuss things in a mature way.
/me things it's fine to use /commands on forums, it's expressive :P.

If only it was restricted to the forums....
The only thing I've ever really wanted out of World of Warcraft is a PvP server that is restricted to people 25 years and older.
Of course this has been suggested on the Blizzard forums. God knows how it would have been enforced, but the sole reply from dissenters was "I know a fourteen year old who is really mature for his age". I guess they ignored the 3,000,000 other 14 year old WoW players who are immature for their age.Only feebs vote.

I have a chat log somewhere of me in Dun Morogh trying to convince some clowns that the French speaking people advertising for their guild were not from France, and shouldn't have to go play on the Euro servers.
It went like this:
Francophone Quebecer Guild recruitment message...
X: Frogs should **** off to the Euro servers!!
Me: Why is that?
X: Because they shouldn't be on North American servers.
Y: Yeah, France is teh suxx0rs!!!
Z: French is teh ghey!!!
Me: They're not from France. They are from Quebec.
X: They're from France. I h7 the French.
Me: They aren't from France: they are from Quebec.
Y: Quebec is in France.
Y, Z, et a; Lolz noob!!!
X: North American servers are for North Americans.
Me: They are from North America. Quebec is in North America.
Y: But they speak French.
Me: So? Mexicans speak Spanish.
Cue extensive racist comments about Hispanics....
X: They should go back to France.
Me: They've been here for about 300 years.
Y: Bull****!!! They are from France..
etc. etc.Only feebs vote.

WoW has more than it's share of such people, but it's just a background hum for me (and often quite funny, like the forums). I don't choose to interact with these people, but they don't bother me. I have a guild of mature players to interact with.
Granted it would be worse on PvP servers. However, if you choose to allow yourself to be at the mercy of the WoW playerbase I think you get what you deserve. The PvP in WoW sucks anyway.
