Resubscribed this month to this game - a massively multiplayer online first-person shooter (MMOFPS). Quite a good game actually if you are into games like Unreal Tournament 2004, but with something like a few hundred people battling it out over continents.

There's talk of an option to play for free up to a certain level, but whether that is true or a product of the rumor-mill, I am not sure.

Feels more like real warfare than any other FPS online game I've played (minus the futuristic tech part) because the maps are gigantic, and there are logistics to consider. Plays best when you are part of a platoon of squads (yes, up to 30 people squaded up together: 3 squads of 10 each. )

I've heard of this - never spoken to anyone that has played it though. Describe the gameplay if you get chance.

Looks like they are going to do a year long free trial for anyone interested - you just won't be able to progress in rank too high.

The gameplay is something akin to a combination of Tribes, Unreal Tournament, and Battlefield series. There's a bit of 'RPG' to it too, but not like Everquest or anything like that.

Definately First Person Shooter, with vehicles, but over several continents on different planets. Battles can be huge (300+ per side at once in any continent).

Once the free-trial goes into effect (Feb 14th), definately worth at least a look through if remotely into games of this style. Best played on a team though. Can form squads and platoons, and there are plans to add more content.
