    FG: Mafia 42 sign-up

    It is Christmas and the Elves are having a hard earned rest after the streneous months of getting together Santa's payload for another year. Sitting down, soaking up the fireplaces and sipping applejack the Eleves celebrate the end of another year's work and the start of the Christmas holidays.

    Somewhere out in the harsh climate of the North Pole a bloodcurdling scream is let out. An elf, and elf in real danger. Sanata is alerted and will not return until the situation is resolved. Can you help?


    Alright thought I might bring some Christmas cheer to the game we have come to love and know as Mafia. I am now accepting sign ups. I want 30 players at a minimum. Updates will be every 24 hours regardless however on weekends there will be a day off, so I can still party my arse off.

    For those who don't know their Mafia history I was the one that started the phenonemon here at Poly. Indeed if it wasnt for Mafia, numerous games would never of been created. All I can say is I am back!

    Oh and never tell a twisted man he is twisted he may just take offence. Haha!

    There is already a mafia game running.

        Or perhaps by the time you post the first turn in this one the current Mafia game (and perhaps the one after that ) will be over and it won't be a problem.

        Sorry, I am a little burnt by waiting for the last Sheep GM'd Mafia game where several of us were waiting for the next update which never happened and finally started a new one. As far as I know it is the only Mafia game that wasn't.

        Given that Ras has been keeping the game running, and the fact that I doubt Rah wants to have 2 mafia running at the same time, it seems wise to not let this game get off the ground.

          cant see a problem with two runnignat once provided one diesnt interfer with the other...

          I for one wouldnt mind being a player in one and GM in the other..

            Considering that we usually have to twist an arm for a GM, and the fact that RAS seems quite capable of keeping games moving, I would prefer that we hold this one till the next game in the schedule. It shouldn't be long. One game running is enough.

              Yeah whatever, having said all that I am still accepting players. Up to you if you join or not.

              As for the whole last time, yeah well thats personal issues and stuff, couldnt be helped but now, haha it aint going to be a problem.

              So join if you wish, dont if you dont but I am going to run this game and I promise you that this will be the most twisted and sickening game of Mafia you have seen yet.

                You fail to understand one simple point.
                If you do not follow the decisions of the forum mod, the thread can easily be closed or deleted.
                It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

                  I understand and agree with your reasons for opposing having two games at once, but I hardly see any justification for actually forbidding there from being a second game. If people actually want a second game, and it's not just spam, there's no reason to close the thread.

                    It's my repsonsiblity to approve any game added to this forum. Management has received many complaints about the other games forum in regards to the number of FGs squeezing out discusion on other games. I have had to defend the current number of games many times.
                    I have also denied the request of quite a few people to start new games.
                    It's a judgement call which is mine to make.
                    In my judgement, 2 mafia games is one too many.
                    I need no other reason.

                    I have no problem if when g41 is over that this be g42.
                    In fact, I would welcome that, because Sheep can be a very creative GM when he has the time.

                      But rah, this is a holiday mafia. At least let him get signups done, so that when Ras's game is over we can get right to it.

                        I'll agree to that. (which is the main reason I didn't close this outright)

                        Ras keeps them moving and the last game took less than a couple of weeks so this one could start well before the holidays are over.

                        But it will be g42.
