My point is that strategy games developers have a tendency to stuff their games with 0-1000 scales, when 0-100 (or less) would be just as good.

Or can you not see the picture?

I'd love a superpower type game. Unfortunately, it seems like every developper that makes that kind of games insists on removing all elements of fun.

Take the game "Superpower" for example. How about having a diplomacy model similar to civ whey you dialogue with a CGI leader? Imagine seeing a CGI Bush or Chirac or Putin? You'd have a sense of talking to a world leader. Instead, we get a completely bland diplomacy where you click a bunch of sliders and wait for a text message the next turn that basically says "proposal accepted" or "proposal refused".
'There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.'"

CGI leaders are more important than diplomacy options?

            Can't you have both?

Sure, but I would consider CGI leaders an added bonus rather than anything special.

CGI leaders would kill a game like superpower.

                1) There's almost 200 nations

                2) The leaders/governments change frequently

If you wanted to use CGI leaders you would either have to use an image generator to create random (and probably really ****y looking) images for each leader, or would be forced to talk to George Bush even after a communist revolution has swept the USA. (and who really wants to research and create a model for every world leader, anyways?)

                    Superower 1

What about the newpaper section that shows up at the end of the turn. There is 5 parts to it. A leaders picture could be shown of him ponting a finger out and in the lead it could read what ever is needed to make a ponit.
I know when I declare war against any nation it will be in the newspaper.

It seems we the players of Superpower games are unlucky to have no other company to make such a game anytime soon and Golemlabs are lucky that they are the only makers of such a game.

GolemLabs has a new website called GolemLabs. They droped the word Welcome so old linls will not work.
They are working on a new game but details are not given just yet. However the site states that news updates should start within weeks.
Forum updates and some other things. So maybe there will be a Superpower 3 or some game that you are looking for. Im looking forward to JR and team to return as its awhile since they have been active in the forums.
Last Note : SDK did come up and will soon have more info on it. Its for Superpower 2.
