Cutting it a little close, aren't we?~ If Tehben spits eggs at you, jump on them and throw them back. ~ Eventis ~ Eventis Dungeons & Dragons 6th Age Campaign: Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4: (Unspeakable) Horror on the Hill ~

Good guess.
A vowel would be nice, though...~ If Tehben spits eggs at you, jump on them and throw them back. ~ Eventis ~ Eventis Dungeons & Dragons 6th Age Campaign: Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4: (Unspeakable) Horror on the Hill ~

What say we subtract a point from the word setter for every post he or she makes while an update is pending?~ If Tehben spits eggs at you, jump on them and throw them back. ~ Eventis ~ Eventis Dungeons & Dragons 6th Age Campaign: Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4: (Unspeakable) Horror on the Hill ~

Unfortunately I can't update as I often go for drinks after work on Friday, so I don't know what time I will be back. I know you will hold me to the 24 hour rule.
If you guarantee to give me until 11pm GMT tomorrow for the next update no matter what I'll do the current one now, and then I might get another in later if I'm on.

I'm sure if you ran the updates whenever you could, the word would be long finished by now.~ If Tehben spits eggs at you, jump on them and throw them back. ~ Eventis ~ Eventis Dungeons & Dragons 6th Age Campaign: Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4: (Unspeakable) Horror on the Hill ~

No, given my schedule, if I update without thinking then I end up losing the word, as has happened before.
Tonight is a good example. I'm here for about 20 more minutes, then I'm going out to dinner with my girlfriend and some friends of ours. It will finish lateish and I might not check back later. Therefore if guesses are made in say 30 minutes, I have to get back by 8PM GMT tomorrow and update, which wont happen if I go out.
So I can't update, precisely because of the glee with which some people apply the 24 hour rule.

I call BS. The 24-hour rule is there to keep the game running, but allow people with limited time to be able to participate. I have been consistent in defending your right to a full 24 hours, but this is getting ridiculous. If you hadn't been dragging things out since you got the word on Monday (and a quick search of your posts shows that you clearly have been), you wouldn't have to worry about what you might be doing on Friday.
Yes, you are abiding by the letter of the rule. One can do so and still be a selfish ass.~ If Tehben spits eggs at you, jump on them and throw them back. ~ Eventis ~ Eventis Dungeons & Dragons 6th Age Campaign: Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4: (Unspeakable) Horror on the Hill ~

Frankly sir, as much as you've contributed to this game in the past, it's gotten to the point that many of us dread you winning a word ...<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.
I like your SNOOPY POSTER! - While you Wait quote.
