Monkey Island - Do I need to play in sequence?

Curse of Monkey Island, the third game.

I just checked Amazon here and it's available in the Lucas classics line, but is quite pricey at £16.99. Even pricier in the US by the looks of things, so maybe you are out of luck.

Quick answer - Im playing MI4, as i never found the earliers ones, which is one of the reasons i delayed installing.

Thats a shame I+II are classics, some of the best of the genre imho - still it gives you something to look forward to in future bargin bins

Not just some of the best of the genre, but in games overall.

I just want to throw this in while i'm here; I just got back from the game store, and one game caught me eye, it's called.. ok I forget what its called, but it's that guy with the chainsaw for a hand and a shotgun, its that great movie from the 80's.. damn I forgot its name.. Something Evil.. well anyway, I saw a game based on that movie and what caught my eye about it was the old type of games I was attracted to, the box art, the gameplay itself, it all LOOKS fun to play, not all serious and got to have a storyline, etc. I actually wanted to buy it, but I didnt, no money.
