The more they change the more they stay the same.

Only complaint so far - to get it to run had to change screen settings to ones that dont work very well for normal PC use. Until we get the new desktop set up, this is a minor annoyance.
You waited almost a year before installing it?? Get back to your FPS's, barbarian...
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
      Once again...

To me, thats like getting Half Life 2 now and waiting a year before I install and play it.

For all the stories out there, Monkey Island could probably top them, and you shelve it?! sigh...

That reminds me: I want to play monkey 2, but I can't seem to 'find' it anywhere

                a pity

Are they out? erm yes if so - cool i missed Sam+Max first time around, so i've been looking for a chance to see what the fuss is about

And how is LotM finding old Monkey Island, which did you choose to play first?

                    some info on the games:

sadly i couldnt get to the scumbar or world of monkey island sites

anyway i'm thinking having access to some kind of walkthrough is kinda usefull?

I'll probably check it out, but wouldn't expect a great deal from it. It has too much to live up to.

I wish I were a mod, the first act of mine would be a 10 000% PCR to DrSpike.

Have you tried Mr. Mule delivery systems yet? That's where I got my copy from, three years ago.

Quick answer - Im playing MI4, as i never found the earliers ones, which is one of the reasons i delayed installing.

Havent played again since my post about playing the opening, with the hot coals. Too busy. I did play that part again with POTM, but we had trouble getting Threepwood around to the loaded cannon in time (which I had done successfully before), largely cause it was hard to control him precisely, cause the thing was running kinda laggy, maybe a system problem on the dino.

Yeah, that part wasn't supposed to be challenging.

Btw surprised you haven't found CoMI - if you can get that as well it's a great game.

well of course solving the puzzle of what to do wasnt challenging for either of us (though POTM isnt used to this kind of game - ive at least played through some text adventures) it was dealing with the interface, and its interaction with the dino.

I dont know which CoMi is - I just know that every MI thing i found on the net for sale was expensive, and i didnt bother looking further.
