asd**** it'll be infested with shallow nubs just like the alliance.

The worst players of WoW are the ones with "nub", "newb", and "noob" in their vocabulary.

Here's hoping that the pandas don't make it as the new Alliance race.

Someone said that the new continent will be PvP even on PvE servers. That should be good. I would play on a PvP server, if it didn't take 10 years to complete a lvl 35 quest.

More BGs would be good. I already made Sergeant Major at lvl 38 and that's as Alliance. The rewards suck though.

I think the Blood Elves are a good idea. It's about time the Horde had their fair share of idiots.

If the Pvp in Outlands thing is true... that'd be pretty cool. I liked PvE servers but I'd have liked a "neutral PvP" area too, when I felt like PvPing in the wild I had to go to Stormwind and take over the inn and swim around the canals and stuff. I ended up just playing on PvP servers as they aren't that bad if you're smart and avoid certain quests (basically it's wayyyy easier to just grind and instance on PvP servers, trying to do too many quests results in you running into too many gankers - who often use knowledge of quests for finding victims).

Yeah, but after a while of grinding I realized that some of the quest content is actually good, and that I wanted to do it.

Plus the average age and IQ seems to leap by about 10 between PvP and PvE servers - at least in my experience.

What's the difference between PvP and PvE?

PvE - in the world at large (not battlegrounds) you can't be attacked by the other side unless you choose to be or do something stupid (like shoot at one of their faction NPCs). Fights do happen, and on our server large battles happen most nights.

PvP - you can be attacked everywhere apart from the newbie zones (i.e. most of the world). In practice this means that once you leave your own territory you will die all the time without seeing the person who kills you. The reason is that bored people with level 60 characters hang out in questing areas and grief levels 20-50 for amusement. They will often camp your corpse and/or the graveyard until you log out.

The advantage of the PvP realms is that you are supposed to be able to fight other players everywhere. In practice this doesn't happen much as most good PvPers are in the battlegrounds (instanced deathmatches) and the only people who spend much time in the world at large are the aforementioned griefers and high level players babysitting their questing friends (to protect them from the griefers).

The advantage of the PvE realms is that you can quest without other people bothering you. If you have limited game time, do not roll PvP: you will spend a lot more time levelling because you will spend a lot more time being killed.

If you want to enjoy all the game content roll PvE. If you want to level up to 60 (will take you a few months if you are new) and mercilessly gank lowbs, roll PvP.

All in all the PvE servers seem to have a more mature population and are easier to learn on. People tend to stay on them too. A lot of the newer PvP realms suffer from low populations because people leave for new ones in the hopes of being able to level fast enough to avoid being griefed.

It's a cool game. Easily the best game I have ever played. I wish they would fix the PvP system though - the current ruleset for PvP servers is daft.

                    Blood Elves

My guild plans to roll an alt guild of Blood Elves when the expansion goes live. It will be named The Wandering Menstruals and will consist entirely of female blood elves named after feminine hygiene products like Monistat and Tampax. I give it a week before we're forced to abandon it to a name change.

Hehe, if you accidentally misspell the brand names you might get away with it.

A lot of the PvP servers (apart from the very old ones) are now like ghost towns. People keep rerolling on new servers in hopes of making it to 60 before everyone else. It's become silly. Blizz is going to have to merge realms or change the ruleset.

They should have asked me - I would have told them for free that would happen.

I could see it coming a mile off too.

But you and I are "carebears" who should "learn2play" because "it's fine".

Personally, I love pvp servers. I would be bored on a pve server. I will gank if/when I feel like it and I've surely pissed a ton of people off, though I actually try to keep fights as fair as possible and I refuse to gank lowbies.

I enjoy it when people try and gank me because there's not much in the game more satisfying then kicking the crap out of them after they started it.

For leveling I fully understand just how annoying it is to have some lvl 60 jackass kill you because he's too ***** to fight people his own level, but it's a minor inconvinience and griefing (i.e. camping for 30 minutes, etc) is a bannable offense.

Speaking of pvp, the test server should be coming up soon. I'll make a friendly wager to everyone on Apolyton that you can't touch me 1v1 .
