You don't have much faith in Polly Siffan, do you?

Indeed. Polly Siffan lodges an official protest against those odds. She would like to note that she has bounced back from nearly as bad of situations before, a couple of GOs before.

The beauty of this game is that it's not over till it's really over. In GO1 I was the favourite to win 2 rounds before the end, but I lost due to my stupidity and a very poor choice of target and order of battle. In the same game Spaced Cowboy was top favourite mid game but he allowed all others to ally against him and destroy him in a series of turns (it took 3 or 4 turns to destroy him, such was his overwhelming superiority). Spaced repeated the same error in one of the previous games (can't remember which) when he hesitated and allowed the others to attack him as an alliance. Will he learn from his own mistakes and the mistakes of others?
Left to its own devices the machine based crucial decisions on the target of its attack, the number and composition of the attacking fleet and the order of battle solely on the calculations of probabilities of various outcomes. Cold logic of the machine chose the combination with the highest probability to win the offensive battle but which still guaranteed the defence of the home bases.
But the machine was up against a brilliant human mind.
Colony I attacks! Polly Siffan
Colony I: 1LT, 5FT, 5TT, OoB: MTT-FFL, back off, fight to the death, attack whoever is there
Polly Siffan: 30FF (why not 31 or some lasers and some torpedoes?!), OoB: MFF-LLT, back off, spread out
First Polly Siffan sent a hacker to try to break the security systems of the Colony I mainframe. He had no luck as Colony I had just put into operation the latest 100000 V electroshock protective system which fried the unfortunate 15 year old instantly. The anti-hacker system was nevertheless destroyed itself by the smouldering remains of the hacker which fell into the device and short-circuited it.
It's far from over now and it's getting more interesting. Anybody has the chance to win in the end, though Spaced Cowboy and Whoha have slightly better chances than snoopy.
