  • The old "Strike" gmaes (desert strike, nuclear strike etc)

I think that the "strike" games were great.

Desert Strike, Urban Strike etc.. on the genesis, Nuclear and Soviet Strike on the PS were nice.

Does anyone have any info on a potential PS2 strike game? or one that I missed?

    Or maybe for the PS3?

I completed Desert Strike a long time ago on Genesis. I rented Jungle Strike later but it wasnt as good, i just remember flying the stealth, didnt complete it though. I have Soviet Strike for Saturn but never played it much.

Not one of the best series ever made IMO.

Well, I think that it was very unique in nature, made more spectacular with the advance in technology of the ps1.

        Thanks for inputting though.

The advance in quality from genesis to ps1 was what made me ask if a newer version was on the horizon.

The overall idea of the games were not new (set missions with powerups scattered), but it was implemented VERY uniquely for a shooter.

I still look forward to it. I guess in my dreams...

Wow, I didn't know there was that many strike games

I finished Desert Strike and finished a few missions in Jungle Strike, but I didn't like latter that much so I didn't play it as much... I did spend a "lot" of time with the first game though

This was on the Amiga btw...

I completed Soviet Strike when it came onto Ps2, and I remember playing good ole Desert Strike on the Atari over a decade ago.

I think I played desert, jungle and urban on sega consoles, and had a lot of fun at the time.
