NW 28.12: I spy a nuclear missile!
Lots of espionage going on and consequentially not a whole lot else.
Jonny and Self Biased spied each other. This spared both Self Biased from Jonny's nukes and also Jaguar, who Self Biased had planned on dropping a stockpile on. Self Biased's planned spy action on Jag was also cancelled, allowing the pacifist to rebuild up to the 5 city limit.
Hercules was not as lucky. He got spied by Snoopy, who also dropped two on his last two cities, WASTING him.
orders due sunday.Visit First Cultural Industries

He got spied. Getting spied cancels all your actions. Obviously the spying of Jonny could not be cancelled, or else there would be an infinite loop.Visit First Cultural Industries

My understanding of the rules is that spying never cancels a spy. It would be unreasonable for spying to cancel one spy but not the other; it must cancel both or neither.
It's obviously something that needs clarifying, but either it should simply cancel the other spy (allowing both players' non-spy actions to proceed, Jonny's and SB's; like in GO-gold) or it should cancel the other player's action but not his spy(s) (allowing the second spy to pass).<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

The short form of my rambling response is "what Jonny said".
Nonetheless, what would people think of changing it next round so that if two players spy each other, the spies simply cancel and both players' normal actions happen as they would normally? GO-like, essentially.<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

I think you should go with Smiley's ruling on the field, and let him impliment it consistently for the rest of the game. The rule can be clarified for NW 29.~ If Tehben spits eggs at you, jump on them and throw them back. ~ Eventis ~ Eventis Dungeons & Dragons 6th Age Campaign: Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4: (Unspeakable) Horror on the Hill ~

In the scheme of things, it makes little difference for this game anyhow, so I don't care about the specific instance here. I just want to hash it out for next game<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

Previous actions have already been executed the way this latest one was, so changing it now would F with the game.
It ought be clarified in teh rules for the next game.Visit First Cultural Industries

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned
