I didn't "doctor the game" so I could win easily. I just wanted to play with good players.

    Just like the driving analogy.

Who the hell buys a driving game and wants to drive a Ford Escort? Bring on the Ferrari.
To us, it is the BEAST.

no, I just find it more fun to completely dominate...

So what you are really saying is you can't win unless you cheat .

I've never understood people who don't want to be challenged in their games. Though it would explain your bratty attitude .

Who the hell buys a driving game and wants to drive a Ford Escort? Bring on the Ferrari.

But then you are racing AGAINST other Ferraris! You cheated to an all-pro team and played.... the Redskins. Oh yeah... real tough competition.

      Cheater .

well I'm too lazy to edit the rest of the teams, or else I would play against other all-pro teams

it took me like 2 or 3 hours just to make the roster and edit the salaries

and I play on the PRO difficulty.. it's not as if I'm setting it up to be completely easy... the top difficulty is just insane... everything is a completion and every running back is walter payton...

there are really only two options in this game
          1. sava dominates the AI
          2. AI dominates sava

          number 1 is more fun
To us, it is the BEAST.

If anyone deserves pirating their games its definitely EA Sports.

I would, but none of their games are worth the time, including this.

Not only did I pay for my copy, but I (usually) win comfortably on All-Pro with the Lions roster as-is.

I was playing on pro, and thought I was playing on rookie ... 2006's pro is roughly comparable to 2005's rookie IMO, although 2006's all-pro is harder than 2005's pro (i only win by a little, whereas in 2005 i usually won by 20-30).

Although I reserve my opinions on Sava, and certainly think that degree of cheating is pretty absurd, I can understand playing Sports games on a semi-but-not-really-challenging level. Mostly because there is rarely-if-ever a truly proper level - where you win sometimes and lose sometimes, and it's a combination of your skill and luck, but more skill, that helps you win - but rather Madden levels tend to be:
                  1) Way too easy, win by 100
                  2) Pretty easy, win by 30
                  3) Hard, lose 70% of your games
                  4) Impossible, lucky to score
for me. Admittedly I'm not a veterane gamer, and thus why the levels break down like that - and this year it seems all-pro, or 3, is easier than that. If they made more appropriate levels i'd not mind playing at a challenging level, but I get too depressed losing 70% of my games

                    So
                    I haven't bought a madden game since like 2001. But I suck

I was trying to win as the Arizona Cardinals. But that was really difficult sometimes. I had Jake Plummer as QB, but my damn recievers couldn't catch the ball. I guess that's like real life . And my running back was okay, just not great.

                          sure...

and since we're going to use PC images as proof, I'll post proof I'm God, friends with George W. Bush, and the real face on the $1 bill.

                          also, about "challenge"

I find the whole idea of battling the AI to a somewhat normal score to just be a mediocre game experience. The challenge I find in the game is seeing how much I can dominate the AI.

If I want to have a realistic game experience, I'll watch real NFL. But I want to see Peyton Manning throw a 50 yard bomb to Randy Moss. I want to see Ladanian Tomlinson behind an All-Pro line bust 10 yard gains just about every play. I want to see opposing QB's cry when they throw interception after interception to my DB's... that is, when they aren't getting sacked by the onslaught of Freeney, Peppers, or when I pass rush LB's Peterson, Brooks, and Urlacher.

I want to see Ray Lewis get 16 tackles a game... ON SPECIAL TEAMS!

I don't know guys... but something about doing extraordinary things is attractive to me. Isn't that what gaming is supposed to be about?

If I want a challenge, I'll play myself in Tic-Tac-Toe.

You think I'm computer-savvy enough to alter screenshots and make them look realistic?

                            I'm flattered.

And the scores aren't necessarily normal; they just tend to be competitive. For instance, I just advanced my record to 8-1 with a 37-20 victory over Arizona. That's high-scoring for the NFL. And it was closer than the score indicates; tied at 17 at the half, and I lead by only a TD with 8min left. Got some timely turnovers when the Cards were driving.

My top score thus far, IIRC, was a 76-10 pimpslapping of the Bears.

Yup. To be fair, the Bears also gave me one of the closest games thus far, too. The Ravens game was like the Cards game, closer than the score indicated due to a late turnover and subsequent score.

So that's three games that could've gone either way that I won, and another that I lost on a last-minute 55 yard FG.

To me, that is much more fun than trying to run up the highest possible score with a hacked all-star team on a pirated game.

uhmmm not to question your honesty...

but why, when I look at default rosters, do I see the following for Detroit:
                                Overall: 78
                                Off: 80
                                Def: 74
                                QB: 69
                                RB: 81
                                WR: 88

which is quite different from the ratings on your team...

but back to the whole challenge thing... different strokes fer different folks... I just don't see why people have to rip on me for doing what I find to be fun...

So what if I make an all-pro team? Big deal. You know what? When I play single player FPS's, I always put on God mode and infinite ammo. OOOOOOH big deal. What do you guys care?
