    medeival role playing game.

you use your starting cash (from your father) to buy long swords and chainmail only to find out you aren't quick enough to kill rats to get better skilled. And then a bunch of thugs rob you and steal your armour and swords.

Soon on a screen near you: Forest Tycoon. A RTS where the aim is to plant, nurture and grow a mighty oak forest.

Watch 'em trees grow millimeter by millimeter in real time. Fight tree deseases, sloppy campers forgetting to put out their barbeque fires and nasty insects...

Lobby politicians for increased subsidies on homegrown oak and/or tariffs on foreign one... Battle it out with other self-proclaimed oak tycoons on the Internet using chain saws, chopping machines and oak pesticides...

Don't miss the extremely limited special collectors' edition in a nice oak wood box, including Monty Python's The Lumberjack Song!

Have you ever played Puupeli or it's sequel (dl from "Siirry lataussivulle" link at the center), Carolus?

http://www.harvestmoon.com/ my gf loves it, and for the just over the year she was playing it, i used to find myself watching in a hypnotic daze while she rushed around planting and harvesting not sure if its my kind of game, but if i had kids its a game i'd be happy to let them play(and maybe steal some game time myself).

                But to get back OT:

Freetrade: an economic game of trade in the current era, learn just how the first world countries use money to keep the third world down. Grant huge loans, secure arms deals, embago trade goods; see what it really takes to rule as a major world power.

Free trade: A game that focuses on the reality of governments, globalization, and development of trade empires. You play a civil servant in the Ministy of Finance/Treasury department. You have been assigned to assist in negotiating the details of a free trade treaty. Your job will entail researching the technical specs of "widgets", meeting various NPC's (widget makers, unions, widget consumer groups) You will then attempt to negotiate the defininition of "widget" with your opposite number from the country you are negotiating with. You will then write up the results, and present them to your superior. Your budget will then be cut, forcing you to play the next round in less time.

(COT - do you have a better idea now of the idea behind "realistic" games )

You'd have to find the owners to the (C) or was it (TM)? There was a web game called FreeTrade a few years ago. Someone has already beaten both of you to the name, and then failed.

                          Patent Attorney:

Spend months researching patents to find prior art to allow you to invalidate another player's patent suits against you.

Spend months then researching patents for possible prior art for new clients. Then spend months getting your paperwork in order to file patent infringement claims against other players!

Features all 10 trillion patents ever filled in the world.

Edit: bah, Harvest Moon is not a PC game.
