I saw "Powered by GameSpy" on the back of several game boxes. Does anybody know what it means? It sounds... ominous.

They have a reputation problem I think ... that's probably irrecoverable, without some serious work on their part that they're not interested in doing (as they're something of a monopoly ... there's nobody else I can think of that offers their service, certainly not at that high of a level). Yet another proof of the evilness of monopolies<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.
