Its not less than 20 hours of gameplay unless you're the type who is extremely good at gameplaying and is focussed totally on achieving that single goal. If you're the kind of person who rips through games like that then playing time can't be an important factor for you. Its like saying Civilization 1 and 2 are worthless because you can win the game with a single city.

Is this a hark back to the older, single character RPGs?

However, this is definitely true that there are people who really speed through games. Morrowind had some crazy short times attributed to it for a while too (well, I consider 35-40 hours to be crazy short for Morrowind anyway) ...

I'm more of a laid back player...

I on the other hand like to explore and finding everything. For instance, Final Fantasy Tactics some people said it took them like 20 hours but it took me nearly 80 hours

Yeah, I like to find everything too. If there are multiple endings I like to see how I could get to them.

Just finished Bard's Tale and I reckon it took me about 40 hours. Good fun once through (plus all 3 endings) and worth my money, but not something I'll want to play through again.

So how do you like it? Which parts of the game do you like and which parts don't you like?

There's a third way to ask it. Who knows what it is?

Grumbold - i'm guessing you got the PC version? can you confirm that its has the origonals on it and have you tried to play any of them, and how many are there?

I will most likely get the PC version, so not be able to play the new game - but i'll be happy with the old versions if they are all there.

If you just want the old ones download an emulator and play them for free.

well i'm thinking thats what may come with the full new game(plus i like supporting developers when i have the option) - so i'm wondering how they are bundling the old versions?

i expect you could try google? still with stuff like that you never know what you may be getting - so thats why i'd be more comfortable if i had more info on the origonal games bundled in the pc version
