Go figure... Americans has always been weird in the way that the majority seems to think killings en masse is not harmful, but what the parents of these kids do, not to speak of the rest of the world to, is the most dangerous thing of all...

Anyhow, I don't see the problem in this... In Norway all the GTA's has got 18+. And when one think of the fact that most things that gets 11+ here gets at least 15+ over there, this is just normalizing it all...

I dont know where you guys got the idea that there arent a lot of americans bothered by violence in games (And movies, etc) The whole rating thing was largely driven by violence, not sex. There IS some distinction at law - there is a tradition of an "obscenisty" exception for freedom of speech, and that has usually applied to sex, not violence. Which distinction is largely an anachronism from older technologies, as well as older values, Id say.

It's easy to see in all channels, internet, politics, TV, etc. I don't say that violence don't matter to you, I say that sex matters more than it should. I don't like it when it's too mcuh sex OR violence in a game, but if I would have to choose, I'd say violence is worse. It seems like it is countrary in America. At least with the majority.

They might as well change all future copies to have the sex scenes in by default.

Yes, a bit silly. I hope it works against Rockstar since they were at fault leaving the 'extra' material in the game, but it probably wont.

and it is Germany that bans killing children in their games.

Games like Fallout had to have all the children removed to be sold in that country. Which broke a couple of quests involving children.

                    nipples.. children.. what a waste
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

And spearheading an attempted investigation? Non other that Hillary Clinton... what does she want to be Liberman? Bah... wasn't going to vote for her anyway for a national office, now it's a HELL NO!

It more shows how broken rating systems are and how out of tune standard American values are.

Couldn't it be a maverick programmer, planting an easter egg?

A swedish director's (Lukas Moodyson) first commercially successful film (****ing Åmål) had to come out under a different title in the US...

Oh, perhaps the censorship "stars" that out (is it the european Apolyton creator who's come up with the censorship or the US one? )!? "Fugging Åmål" then, where you replace the "g":s with letters of your choice...

I think it is generally agreed upon (in Europe) that the US is quite (morally) conservative... That doesn't mean that anything goes over here, though...

I think that male politicians having mistresses in France is quite comme il faut, perhaps even a sign of virility, whereas in Sweden those things are looked less favourably upon...

BTW, isn't Chirac inofficially called "M Trois Minutes" ("Mr Three Minutes"), referring to the time he spends with various mistresses (including the time to shower afterwards )?

Hilary doesn't like sex. Why do you think Bill had to get it elsewhere?

Maybe you should post this view in OT.
