Hey, once I sign up in a guild, is it possible to play in another guild? Like on a different server?

Just because alot of RL friends play this game.

On the other hand, when I get on the net, I want to get away from RL, so not sure if I would want to play with RL friends cause I need that away time.
Yeah. You can even have different characters on the same server in different guilds.

You can play on as many servers as you like. You can have up to 50 characters total and up to 10 per server.

I like playing on Greymane because we have a bunch of good people in our guild. It's a small guild and will remain so until we get to the serious endgame stuff that requires large amounts of people.

It just seems to be more fun that way. Big guilds tend to be very impersonal.

My bro and I also rolled Horde alts on Frostmane (he's got a Tauren Hunter, and I've a Tauren Druid, both eh..level 8 or so? that we've been playing a little). I actually miss being lvl 49 - since I got to 50-51, things seem to have become a little less fun. For one, my first time doing AV was a bad experience. I ended up getting into a game w/ the Alliance already down to 1 base, and it just seems like it is more "ZOMFG i got 250 kills in five minutes!", whereas in WSG/AB I tend to earn most of the HKs I get. On top of that is the lag, the fact that most AV players are lvl 60s anyway...BGs just seem a little more dull. Maybe with the AV holiday ending, people will play AB/WSG more, and I'll have more fun that way. But I don't like the ultra-competitive attitude that many of the high levels have. Hopefully you and I will have a chance to do a dungeon with Glacial (SmoothCriminal), Arb and Katna.

Oh, and Ted, you'd be more than welcome in our guild if you want to roll on the Greymane server.
We have quite a few instances to do. I just need to get a couple more levels in the bank. I will try to get that done this week.

I'll roll an alt on Frostmane, and see you guys there sometime, if you don't mind. I like playing Horde for a change sometimes, but dwarves are still my favourite.

      • What's your Frostmane guild called?

        • That's cool.

If I play I'll find a lame server to mess around on to get used to the controls and all that. Then come join the public.

We don't have one, although Glacial (that is also his alt's name on Frostmane) says he's planning on making one - but I don't see the point yet.

He's got a mid-to-high lvl 50 warrior friend on there also, and a couple other people as well, that he knows from other games.

EDIT: And my Druid's name is Angband.

You don't need to do that.

There are no "lame" servers really. The game gives you the first 10 levels pretty easily and has quests designed to let you learn the game mechanics very quickly. I

You would honestly be better off just rolling on Greymane and letting us send you money. I have a few low level alt characters and would be happy to party up with you and show you what to do.

                to the name

I have a couple of chars I rolled on there last night. Mcstab - Undead Rogue and Scruffbag - Tauren Hunter. Wait until you get past level 25 or so. Then it gets hard.

I'm still sticking with Fig as my main. We are on the verge of the guild being able to do BRD and soon the Spire. There's some decent loot in there and we can farm those instances. I guess that when the others reach 55+ it will be time to start seriously thinking about the end game raid content.

That's not for another month or so... at least.

Yeah, Kat is lvl 56, Vel went up 2 levels today to 43 (at least so far). That leaves myself at 51, you at 50, Glac at 53 and Arb at 59.

How far are you guys in BWL?

                      • We haven't even set foot in BWL yet; however, our progression has been amazing so far. We got Rag on our 2nd real try ever last night... 34% before the sons, 3-4 dead maybe.

We'll be going after BWL sometime after Thanksgiving. I expect massive repair bills but I'm not sweatin' it. My guild is kind of special. We have the attitude of a casual family kind of guild (only 49 accounts, really tight nit with next to no recruiting), but the vast majority of our guys (and 6 gals) are freakin' dedicated when it comes to raiding. I'm guessing our progress will be much faster than most.

                        • Gratz on that, Busta :-)

Our guild just got Domo a couple of weeks ago, but it was extremely late in the evening on a workday, so we had to call it a day, and thus didn't get to fight Raggy. Since then, ppl's Xmas schedules have prevented us from repeating that experience.

We wiped on Domo twice last friday - me tanking him and fighting very hard to keep up with his stupid aggro wipes :-(
