Napoleonic Overlord. It's an aoffshot of Galactic Overlord, that is more straightforward (no spies, no shields). The current game is plagued by the fact that all players are systematically on the attack, and take their enemies' cities, while losing their own. So far, being on the attack has proved a nearly invincible strategy.
And since all defensive players have been killed now, the game is pretty much stucked by players swapping bases.

I always thought it would be cool if there were multiple options for base (or in this case, castle) capturing. Conquering as normal nets you a reduced value castle. Assimilating yields no resources for four turns, but then results in a full value castle. Pillaging gives you a large number of resources, but the castle is destroyed and its inhabitants slain.

Fantasy Overlord looks REALLY good. The only thing I dislike is that Spearman Archers and Cavalry resemble L/F/T exactly. I liked how you played with the modifiers in NO.

Eh? Maybe you should have realised the need for shields for balance, or an alternative at least. Otherwise attacking is obviously going to be the best option, even if you took the sensible step of limiting builds by whether you had a home base, and getting less benefit from captured bases.

Well, they're not exactly the same - an earth wizard can spend mana to get über spearmen, for example.
I'm just wondering if the wizard himself should provide 10 base gold as well as 10 base mana per turn. I guess it would prevent the situation where someone has all their farms destroyed and cannot gain any gold to buy new farms.
