I've got to the start of the map with the wyverns on in Cloakwood, but then gave up for the night. I plan to be in BG by the end of the weekend at the very latest. And I shan't be killing any soothsayers I may come across.
In other duke news, it's all over with the latest holder of the duchess o' york title (and I'm not planning on finding a new one just yet), so the possibility of my getting broadband just rose. First, though, I need to find somewhere to live after the end of July...

Not sure about Guild Wars, but I'll probably get broadband this summer. As I said, I need a place to live first, and I'm sure there'll be other things. She threw my duvet out when we moved in together!!

I've reached BG (possibly even more OT than the above) at last, and Daevorn wasn't too hard to kill, despite dire charming two of my party. I've just killed the wizards upstairs at Sorcerous Sundries because the line "or do you want a fireball up your a*se" always amuses me, and have bought a hatload of spells. I'll go and find some adventures later perhaps.

I'm a bit disappointed that now I've got automatic entry to the thieves' guild by lifting the skyship components (and knocking off the Halruan mage for mucho XP - one hit wonder! ), it won't let me complete Nathan Darkwalk's (or whatever he's called) quests.
I know it's academic, but I was just being completist! Maybe if I'd actually arrived for the first Darkwalk mission at night, and hadn't had to find something else to do to kill time.

I did both merchant guilds (Aldreth Shastenaar, or whatever he's called is the second one) last night, and really think that doppelgangers ought to be made much tougher. Maybe in Jam's version....
I don't think that I'm quite strong enough to take on the Iron Throne tower yet, so I'm going to continue working clockwise round the areas of the city doing all the quests I can remember/find. I'm just about a thousand XP away from getting level 4 spells, which will boost my pwnage rating through the roof. That requires 6k XP, so I need more quests!

Oh yeah, and if I have succeeded in dragging Jamski kicking and screaming from the Guild Wars thread, then can he edit his first post to announce that there are BG spoilers in this thread?

J R R Trollkeen is very tough. Try fire or acid on him, and watch out for his high regen rate. He'll drop a superior Trollband if you are lucky, or a vampiric regenerating sword.
