Graphic design suggestion:

Make the numbers bigger and bolder- take the two cells with firepower and hits dealt, and instead of stacking them pu thtem side by side.

Other suggestion: Just attach the tables, don't use photobucket, which has a low bandwidth limit.

Colony 1 is totally vaporised. BOOM. and eliminated. Ken Banobi (Jag) gets two bases and Zol Ventis (Skanky) gets one, decided on the fact that Jag sent his whole fleet and Skanky sent 2/3's of his. Skanky also took all the allied casualties. Poor frigates.

Chapter 2d

Breaking out of hyperspace with his entire fleet, Basilius Navinwinat attempted to restore the fallen empire. However he ran straight into an experimental shield device operated by Dr Point and lost 1 Lasercruiser before he could stop in time. Dr Point is rumoured to be delighted with his design.

Last time I checked, I didn't order Fight To The Death, and defenders can't order Fight to the Death either.

Chapter 2 - STANDINGS




The standings at the end of Chapter 2. In this chapter we saw the swift demise of the revolutionary Kit Chuss (Joncha) and the final blue screen of death from Colony 1 (Atragon)

(Oh, and look up the thread. If you comment all the time during the update you've probably missed two battles that have been edited in where Vlad's battle used to be. He didn't fight to the death, y'see, so I had a lot of posts to use up.)

from the GO 8 rules, and I don't think this bit got changed for GO 9
[*]The attacking player may decide to attack to the death. In that case, proceed as normal, but repeat the combat until one side or the other is completely destroyed.

Combat continues until one fleet receives more hits than it has hitpoints, or 6 rounds of combat have taken place unless the attack ordered a fight to the death, in which case combat ends with the destruction of one fleet.

Why do we need it to be 'by default' anything? Aren't we all adult enough to write in complete orders?

I'd rather not doing something be default rather than doing something. Yes, 90% of the time we want to the death, but we'll leave it out that one time we don't want it...

Eh, fair enough (I'm easily convinced by argumenta ad siccus sanguinis ). Noted on all further occasions to put "default" when I mean "default." Though I still think that we should explicitly write that into the rules and repost the rules in the OP while we're at it.
