      I been playing and learning

Just installed and played an hour and a half

Kinda different than some games like AOEII but similiar of course to Dawn of the Modern World

I like the PIP (Picture in Picture) plus the crowns thingey where you get benefits from economic crowns and military crowns give you benefits

Ill share more as time goes by

      Gramps

Graphics are pretty decent as well

        Absolutely horrible game.

Ploding gameplay, micromanagment out the wazoo, abstracted epochs that take the fun out of it, a horrible map generator, and the same horribly inept AI as the first empire earth.

I played a 1vs1 game where niether me or the AI had any advantage or handicap, and the game ended with me in epoch 6 and the AI presumably still in epoch 1 I didn't even rush them, I took my time, and went easy on them. but they did nothing to defend or bolsters themselves except build dozens of outposts and fortresses that I just stomped over with an army of artillery. They barely even had an army (once their initial rush attack was anhilated by a fortress I built early on). In many of the games, I often witnessed the Ai commiting suicide with his peasants, too - just endlessly sending them into enemy territory, past a fortress or something, where they would be quickly killed one by one.

EE2 has some very good feautures and some horrible things, too. The horrible things definitely include pathfinding and the suicide peasant problem. Also, under certain conditions, it seems to slow down even on computers with powerful video cards.

I'm a bit surprised there even is an EE2. From what I recall the original wasn't that much of a hit. Why try and make a sequel from a lacklustre title to begin with? Unless its code recycling...(is EE2 similar to the original?)
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

                    Not at all.

I guess there's a niche market for crappy game series.

No use in disscussing this game because most of you already don't like it.

well, it certainly isnt as bad as some I have seen out

I wont put it at the top but am so far pleased with under 5 hours playing time I see potential fer some wasted days and wasted nights of my time enjoying this

have you played it General Ludd?

I would not call it "crappy"

maybe you have your reasons but for sure I cant understand why so many people call it crap

                          Ok

                          Just asking

and the previous game I played was empires dawn of the modern world and it was ok as well

this whole epoch deal is a different path for me and makes an interesting twist

the game is however, as previously stated by me, a tad bit on the micro management side, but then again as a professional manager, it just falls right in line for me to look over a multitude of details

Then you and I can discuss it.

I turn on the cheat the other night (easy level) at very start of the game and notes the AI was already about haft way building his second building (fort) and his scout was heading straight for my city. In EE 1 there scout was like ours, going around and scouting, but not strait for your city.

Looks like Joseph and Gramps are rationalizing their purchase of this e-turd.
