Well, some of it was mentioned publically, but regarding this franchise, I have my own sources .

Looks nice, but I will wait four or so years until the gold edition including expansions are in the bargain bin.

          Age of Empires III (PC)
Age of Empires III offers gamers the next level of realism, with advanced battle physics and unparalleled visual detail. The new game picks up where Age of Empires II: Age of Kings left off, placing gamers in the position of a European power determined to explore, colonize and conquer the New World. This time period features stunning scenes, from towering European cathedrals to courageous tribes of Native Americans, and spectacular combat with Industrial Age units like rifled infantry, cavalry and tall ships bristling with cannons. In addition to technology upgrades, Age of Empires III also features a slew of new game-play elements, including the concept of a "Home City," new civilizations, units, technologies and an immersive new single-player campaign that spans three generations.

Oh hell yes! I loved AOE2, I spent hours of my life just playing my own little scenarios and conquering the world! I'm so happy to have a new distraction on the horizon.

I only played a few games of AoE2, I never really cared about that time. AoE3 sounds much more interesting though

I don't know. Am I the only one who prefers "older graphics"? For me, the graphics of AoE2 were just fine.
This game, while looking good, has too many shadows and derail that difficult the actual gameplay for me. Just imagine getting those houses and trees in the way of your view...

Is there warfare located in Europe, or does it take place only on the New World (and if yes, does it take place in the whole New World, or only North America?)

AFAIK it only takes place in the new world (I don't know if it's only north America), not in Europe (except for the 'home town' feature)

I haven't seen that many screenshots of AoE3 so I haven't noticed if it's diffecult to see what is going on
But I do like what they have written about how the engine works: Firing a cannon to a wall will put a hole in the wall where it hits, this can't be done on older engines... of course this is just eye candy

No Europe! that kind of sucks. I was never into the early America stuff. I miss the old days, and I'd have to agree with Wernazuma III, that, at least in the screenshot provided, there do seem to be too many shadows.

I worry that my computer won't the um...horsepower...or whatever to run such a beautiful game.

And I'm happy that it's about the discovery of the new world, I always liked that part of history, while I always hated European history
