Me: "Uh, where's Section B?"
Guy: "Ugh, you're useless!"

I don't know of any Splinter Cell cheaters on XBL, just PC...
LMFAO!!!
Seriously, this game has the WORST online community of any game I've ever played. Cheating is rampant, and quitting if you're losing is even more rampant.

Cheating? How so?
If you grab a pole as a spy, then hit sideways + b at approx the same time, you can teleport to whatever you interacted with last.
If a merc jumps on another mercs head, once he gets up from being knocked out, he cannot go to sleep from smoke (he can still fall over, but will get up instantly).
If two mercs charge each other, they can become immune to mines and grenades.

There were 2 patches initially. The first fixed a game crash bug with the optimatch, and the second revamped the ranking system in a futile attempt to have people not cheese it (fat load of good that did).
It was rumored that there was going to be another patch, and there may have been one at this point. I haven't played in 3 months or so.

They're not as bad as you might think. The teleport glitch can only be done on a few levels, and you can usually tell when it happens. The Merc immunity to grenades and mines really doesn't affect much at all because those things are merc equipment, not spy equip. Finally, it's blatanly obvious when Mercs make themselves immune to smoke. You get a message saying that one has neutralized the other. That's why it's important to host. If any of this crap starts, just return to the lobby, call them little *****es, then kick them. It's only a slight inconvenience usually.
