  • Master of Magic: time stop @ impossible...

well, I just found an old copy of MoM and started playing right away... now I seem to have found a little problem...
one of the enemy wizzards casted Time Stop - the problem is, that at impossible this wizzard has a storage of like 30,000 mana and the time stop doesn't allow me to dispell it
in fact, all I can do is watch as the game proceeds for the AI, I can't even access any menues (for saving/loading for example...) and I very much doubt that he will ever run out of mana (and he probably wont stop that spell volunteerly as well -.-)

so I guess the only thing I can do now is wait and watch him research the spell of mastery? -....-

oh, looks like the spell did stop after a "couple" of turns
and he went actually down from 30,000 to 0 mana - I guess while being able to move and having to pay only the maintenance for that specific spell, his own mana-income is frozen as well?

you would notice that if you cast time stop yourself for more than a couple of turns. Your cities have no growth and no production. The only advantage is that you can move your units and your opponent can't move his.

You collect no manna under timestop except what you convert from money or magic items. Timestop is pretty expensive to maintain, so it usually doesn't last that long. However, it would last pretty long with 30000 manna points (the maximum you can collect).

I lost/deleted my PDF copies of the manual and spell book. Can someone tell me where to get replacements or PM me their copy? Thanks.

time stop. I don't even remember that.

I could beat this game, but I'm pretty sure I was at the lower levels. There are many aspects to this game I never really used. I mostly built armies and used those hero guys I think.

It'd be cool if they made a remake.

but I suppose I could try to find a copy. One big problem is my copy was well...err a copy. I never had the rules. So there are many things I did not do in this game. Or know how to do.

hmmnn.... replacementdocs is off the air, and the good MoM sites are gone. I can give you my spellbook, and I'll put my manual up in the morning sometime. If I don't forget.....

oh, I guess the manual is too big to attach.

I'll try to email it. zip it up first.

Did you know that Brad Wardell from Stardock has hinted more than once, that Stardock might actually do MoM II in the very near future.

Correction... Brad Wardell of Stardock has stated that Stardock is actually making a MoM spiritual sequel. It's current project title is "Elemental".

I troll the StarDock forums regularly, to try and find out more info about it.
